Pick what you're making and what you need from the day. The range updates as you go. It's built the same way we build every estimate: pre-production, a production day, editing, and add-ons.
This free video budget estimator uses 7 Hills Productions' published rates for Orange County, Los Angeles and San Diego, with travel quoted separately elsewhere in California and nationwide: pre-production from $500, a full production day with crew and equipment at $6,000–$8,000 (half day $3,500 for interview-style work within 50 miles of Irvine), editing at $2,000–$4,000 per finished 1–2 minute video with social cutdowns, and on-set add-ons such as talent, studio, photography and travel quoted on top. Most projects land between $3,500 for a single testimonial and $14,000–$50,000 for a commercial. See the full video production pricing by video type.

About the estimate
The estimator uses the same four building blocks and the same rates 7 Hills Productions uses in every proposal, so most itemized estimates land inside the range it shows. The final number moves with details the tool can't see (locations, talent count, edit complexity, timing), which is why we confirm everything in an itemized estimate after a short call.
Your selections and contact details go straight to the 7 Hills team. We reply within one business day with questions or an itemized estimate showing pre-production, production, editing and add-ons as separate lines. A 40% deposit then locks your dates; the balance is due on final delivery.
A production day is the capacity: crew, equipment and setups. We plan each day to capture several pieces of content, so a second finished video from the same day only adds an edit ($2,000–$4,000) instead of another $6,000–$8,000 day. Batching testimonials or interviews into one day is the cheapest way to get several videos.
No. The $3,500 package (pre-production, a half-day two-person crew within 50 miles of Irvine, and one finished video with social cutdowns) stays the same, and anything you add (extra social videos at $750 each, a photographer, remote access to the shoot) is simply added on top.
