7 Hills Productions · Irvine, Los Angeles & San Diego

Video production pricing

Video production with 7 Hills Productions runs from $3,500 for a single testimonial video to $14,000–$50,000 for a commercial. We film from home bases in Orange County, Los Angeles and San Diego, across California and on location nationwide. Every project is built from the same four parts, and one production day is planned to capture several pieces of content, so adding videos to a day costs far less than adding days.

How video production pricing works

How much does a video cost?

A professionally produced 1–2 minute video costs $3,500–$15,000 with 7 Hills Productions. The low end is a single interview-style testimonial filmed in a half day; the high end is a full production day with several finished videos or a concept-driven brand piece.

What does a production day cost?

A full 10-hour production day with a director, cinematographer, second camera, lighting, sound and a cinema camera package is $6,000–$8,000. A half day for interview-style work within 50 miles of Irvine is $3,500. Consecutive days are priced lower than the first.

Why one day is not one video

7 Hills plans every production day to capture multiple pieces of content (interviews, B-roll, a hero story and vertical clips) and edits all of it. Editing is priced per finished video ($2,000–$4,000 for a 1–2 minute master with social cutdowns), so a company that films four testimonials in one day pays for one day and four edits, not four shoots.

Questions we get before every quote

Pricing FAQ

How much does a 2-minute company video cost in Orange County?

With 7 Hills Productions, a 2-minute company video filmed in Orange County or Los Angeles costs $6,000–$15,000. That covers pre-production, a half or full production day with crew and equipment, and a standard edit with captions, licensed music, color and social cutdowns. A single testimonial filmed in a half day starts at $3,500.

What is the minimum project?

Our smallest project is the $3,500 introductory testimonial: one on-location interview within 50 miles of Irvine, a two-person crew for a half day, and one finished 1–2 minute video with social cutdowns. It's designed as a low-risk first project so you can see how we work before a larger campaign.

Why do you show ranges instead of one price?

Because the same type of video can be a half-day interview or a two-day, multi-location shoot with talent. The range shows the realistic spread; your itemized estimate, with pre-production, production, editing and add-ons as separate lines, is a fixed number, confirmed before we book crew. The price you're quoted is the price you pay.

Is a half day available?

Yes for interview-style work within 50 miles of Irvine: testimonials, corporate interviews, training modules, healthcare profiles, product sessions and podcasts. Brand films, commercials, events and recruitment videos start with a full production day because the crew size, setups and locations don't fit into a short call.

Does editing include social versions and revisions?

Every finished video includes captions, branded titles, licensed music, color correction, a sound mix, basic animation, social cutdowns in 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1, and three rounds of revisions. Additional standalone social videos are $750 each. Advanced motion graphics, 3D and complex color work are quoted separately.

What's the cheapest way to get several videos?

Batch them into one production day. Filming 2–4 testimonials or interviews in a single day means you pay for one day of crew and equipment plus one edit per finished video, which brings the cost per video to roughly $3,600–$6,100 instead of $6,000 or more each when filmed separately.

Do you charge for your own equipment?

Crew and equipment are quoted together as the production day: $6,000–$8,000 for a full day. That includes our cinema camera package, lighting, audio and a drone where useful. There is no separate equipment rental line unless a project needs specialty gear such as a jib, a Steadicam operator or a second full unit.

What are the payment terms?

A 40% deposit confirms production and locks your dates; the balance is due on final delivery. First cut arrives 15–20 days after filming, with three revision rounds included. Credit-card payments carry a 3% processing fee. You own the master files and graded footage for your website and social channels.

Do you travel outside Southern California?

Yes. Orange County, Los Angeles and San Diego are our home bases and travel within them is included in every quote. We also film across California and throughout the United States for brand films, commercials, events and multi-city campaigns. On those projects the production and editing figures stay the same, and travel, lodging and any additional local crew appear as separate lines in your itemized estimate.
