Databricks company film
Company brandA company film for a data platform, built to work in front of enterprise buyers and in front of engineering candidates.
We film for software and SaaS companies, deep tech and hardware teams, and the agencies that serve them: product explainers, customer stories, company films, conference coverage and recurring shows. Databricks, Google and Overair have all hired us.
Most technology buyers need the product explained and a customer to vouch for it. We shoot both in the same week. Or build your own estimate in two minutes.

Eight films for software, SaaS, deep tech and hardware companies. Product explainers, customer proof, company films, engineering footage and a recurring show.
A company film for a data platform, built to work in front of enterprise buyers and in front of engineering candidates.
A customer on what the software changed for them. Two minutes that a sales deck cannot argue with.
One minute to explain what the product does and who it is for, cut for the home page and for paid.
A 30 second spot built for paid placement, where the first three seconds do all the work.
The CEO of an eVTOL aircraft company on the technology and the road to production. Filmed for investors and for press.
Hardware testing in the desert. When the product is physical, the test footage is the proof.
A multi-camera show for a technology audience, filmed in batches so the cost per episode drops.
1:32Conference coverage for Google, cut the same week so it was still useful when it went out.
Six steps from scope to delivery, and about four weeks from shoot day to the final film.
Four formats cover most of what a software or hardware company buys. Pick by the job it has to do, not by the label.

Most technology companies start with the explainer and one customer story, filmed in the same week. If the product is hard to film, an animated explainer does the job without a shoot day. Full format detail is on the explainer video page.
Technology video production is the making of films for software, SaaS, hardware and deep tech companies: product explainers, customer and case study films, company and brand films, animated and motion graphics work, conference coverage, recruiting films and recurring video podcasts. 7 Hills Productions has produced this work for Databricks, Google, Overair, Anchor and UTrakk, from a base in Irvine, California.
One shoot day usually produces a main film plus two or three cutdowns, which is what keeps a launch video inside a marketing budget rather than a board request.
Software and SaaS companies, hardware and deep tech teams, developer tools and data platforms, IT and cybersecurity firms, and the agencies that buy production on their behalf.
A typical project is $9,000 to $13,500: pre-production, one shoot day and one finished film, plus two or three cutdowns. A single customer story starts at $3,500.
About four weeks from shoot day to the final film, with two rounds of notes built in.
Eight formats, each with a service page of its own.
Real ranges rather than a call for a quote. Every number below assumes one crew, one location and one finished film.
| Package | Typical range | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Product explainer | $6,000–$12,500 | Scripting, one shoot day or screen capture, one finished film |
| Customer or case study film | $3,500–$15,000 | One customer filmed locally, batch days lower the cost per story |
| Company or brand film | $9,000–$13,500 | Pre-production, one shoot day and one finished film, plus two or three cutdowns |
| Animated explainer | $6,000–$15,000 | Script, voice over and motion design, no shoot day |
| Video podcast, batch day | $14,000–$25,000 | Several episodes filmed in one day, each cut and clipped |
| Conference or event film | $6,000–$12,000 | One day on the floor, a highlight film and social cuts |
| Extra cutdown | $750 | Any additional cut from footage already shot |
Building your own scope? Pre-production runs $1,000 to $1,500, a shoot day $6,000 to $8,000, and editing $2,000 to $4,000 per finished film. Cutdowns are $750 each. A second finished film from the same footage adds an edit fee, not another shoot day. These match our pricing page and budget estimator. Filming in the Bay Area? Our San Francisco and Bay Area page covers SoMa, the Peninsula and the East Bay, with travel and pricing for that market.
Unreleased product, a customer name or a lab. The paperwork happens before the camera comes out.
Screen capture, motion graphics and hardware footage, so the film shows the thing rather than describing it.
We use your reference and release agreements, and we work to whatever approval chain the customer needs.
One shoot day usually yields the main film plus two or three cutdowns for social, email and paid.

Yes, before anything starts. Unreleased product, customer names and lab access are normal on these projects and the paperwork comes first.
Yes. We capture the interface, and we add motion graphics or animation where the product cannot be filmed. An animated explainer skips the shoot day entirely.
Yes, under your own reference and release agreements. Batch days, where several customers are filmed in one location, lower the cost per story.
Usually one finished film plus two or three cutdowns for social, email and paid, all from the same footage. A second finished film adds an edit fee, not another shoot day.
Yes. Booth, keynote and floor coverage, with a highlight film and social cuts turned around fast enough to still be useful.
Yes. A large share of this work comes through marketing agencies, white labelled where that is what the client needs.
You do. You get the finished films and the masters, and access to the raw footage is limited to the people you name.
Tell us the product, the audience and roughly when you need it. You get a written scope and a number back, usually the same day.
