The brief
Hospitality is sold on how a place feels, and it is staffed by people who need to want the job before they apply. Those are two different films with two different audiences, and this work covers both.
The testimonial side is about the guest experience. What a customer says on camera about a day out is worth more than any description of it, because the viewer is already imagining themselves there.
The recruitment side is harder. Hospitality has a hiring problem across the industry, and a recruitment film only works if it is honest about the job. Early mornings, long shifts, and a reason people stay anyway. A film that oversells produces applications that leave in a month.
Production runs around operations rather than through them. Vessels sail, venues open, and the crew works in the gaps, which means small teams and a shot plan agreed with an operations manager rather than a marketing manager.
How this work gets made
Guest film and hiring film are different
One sells an experience, the other sells a job. Trying to do both in one film does neither well.
Honest about the work
A recruitment film that oversells produces hires who leave. The useful version shows the day as it is.
Around live operations
Filming in the gaps around sailings and service, with a plan agreed by operations rather than marketing.
Questions about this work
Can you film on a vessel or in a live venue?
Yes. It takes a small crew, tight planning and a shot list agreed with whoever runs the operation that day.
Do recruitment films actually help hiring?
They help most when they are specific and honest. Candidates who can picture the shift accurately are the ones who stay.
Can you film in several cities?
Yes. Multi-site work is planned so one crew covers several locations in a trip.
